Traditional Ju Jutsu Seminar The Redlands PCYC will play host to a Traditional Ju Jutsu seminar. These seminars present an excellent way to learn new techniques taught by top instructors and allows you to gain a perspective of what other Ju Jutsu schools in Brisbane are doing. The details for the seminar can be found in the flyer. Location: Redlands PCYC. Date: Sunday 14th of August. Time: Registration 10:30AM, Bow on 11:00AM - Bow off 2:00PM Cost: $25 for Cyclone Dojo members (usually $30, paid before the day). The PCYC has requested a $2 donation for the use of their basketball court. Cyclone Dojo Competition The annual Cyclone Dojo competition will be held this year on September at the Arana Hills PCYC. The competition will be run again with the same format as last year having both a Kumite (Sparring) and Goshin Jutsu (Self Defence) components. You can submit your nomination form to Sensei Peter. Stay tuned for further updates. Black Belt Gradings On Saturday the 11th of June at the Arana Hills Dojo we hosted a series of Black Belt gradings. The judging panel on the day consisted of Sensei Patrick McCarthy (9th Dan/ 8th Dan Ju Jutsu), Sensei Peter Hills (4th Dan Aiki Kenpo Ju Jutsu) and Sensei David Thompson (4th Dan Aiki Kenpo Ju Jutsu). It was a great day with a good turn out of Friends, Family and other Ju Jutsu Students. More importantly it was a great display of Ju Jutsu technique and spirit. Special mention should go to the stand out performance of the day of Glen Wallace for his outstanding display of determination and technique under pressure, the hallmarks of a great martial artist.
